Sports & Fitness
Sports, Fitness and Recreation play a vital role in the health and well being of Boys & Girls Clubs members. With childhood obesity on the rise the Sports, Fitness and Recreation program teaches healthy eating habits, the importance of exercise, and stresses teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind Body and Soul is a comprehensive health and wellness program developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The Mind component encourages young people to eat smart through the Healthy Habits programs. The Body component consists of traditional physical programs at a high level of sports and fitness activity. The Soul component helps build positive relationships and cooperation among young people.
P.R.I.D.E. (Personal Responsibility In Developing Excellence) helps young people learn character, leadership, teamwork, goal setting, and living a healthy lifestyle. The P.R.I.D.E.
